land are quite satisfactory in com­
parison with some of the territory
they have passed through in their
travels. The wheat crop of eastern
Oregon is several weeks later than
usual, and in many places very poor,
although there is some good wheat
in that section. The working condi­
tions throughout the sections they
visited were about the same as in
this vicinity, with the exception of
the sheep country, where many
sheep herders are needed.
The boys expect to leave within
the next few days for Califofrnia,
where they expect to locate if they
fifnd conditions suitable to them.
