DELIG HTFUL PRODUCTION
D elightful in every respect is Cecil
De Mille’s latest P aram o u n t pic-!
tu re production, “ Fool’s P arad ise,” ,
which was presented last night at the
V ining theater. Film ed with care-j
ful atten tio n to detail, this is un
questionably one of the best produc-l
tions ever made by Mr. De Mille.
The story suggested by Leonard
M errick’s “The Laurels and the
Lady.” is adapted with taste a n d ,
skill. The them e is one of intense!
heart appeal and the various scenes!
which take one from France to Mex
ico and thence to Siam, w ith their
kaleidoscopic view’s, are beautiful in
the extrem e. The leading roles are j
excellently portrayed by Dorothy
D alton, Mildred H arris, Conrad Na-i
gel, Theodore Kosloff, John David .
son and Ju lia Faye. The picture is
one t-hat will please every lover of I
th e beautiful, lofty and artistic in
the silent dram a, and it leaves little!
to he desired by the most blase pic
tu re fan.
It .will be presented for the last
tim e tonight. Tom orrow. “ Find tlie ,

It Is true that out of the crosses
and vexations of life, its petty cares
and troubles us well as its great
griefs, is to come the discipline that
maxeB souls fine and strong. But we
mistake our province wh«n we allow
our own iij tem per and selfishness to
supply such .material to our neighbors.
They will fln\l all ueo/saary hardships
without our .adding to the number.—
