For wearing with the new Tweed Suits STEPHEN WEINBERG One of G reat City’s Tragedies. An old-tim e tragedy of the Central M arkets, P aris, has been recalled by the death a t an advanced age of a once rich woman, who fo r m any years m ade a poor living th ere overturning garbage cans and selling anything of value she m ight be able to find th ere in. H er nam e was unknown, and for nearly half a century she was merely called “Princess.” F ifty years ago it was fashionable fo r persons of high society in P a ris to pass a riotous night In the cafes and sta lls of the m arket. On one occasion a fashionable woman one of a gay* party, was robbed of money and Jewels, persum ably by tier escort. Left penniless, she refused, for reasons easily surm isable, to com m unicate with her husband or her fam ily In central France. Instead she sought em ploym ent and gradually fell Into extrem e poverty.
