The attorney for th defense, in his address and in repl to Flegle’s statement, admitted tht “false testimony had been given.” The defense attorney also resente the insinuation of the district attoi ney’s assistant that “the clevt Charles Hood, father of one of th defendants, was a framer of defense; and he has had his hands full.” The government contended that had established all the vital facts i the case; the driving of the five ca: tie from the agency corral, and th delivery of them to Peter Grove.
