by th e n a tiv e s in th e p lace o f a
w a te r flask .
Mr. Lucy s ta te s th a t M exico is
ric h c o u n try , c a p ab le of p ro d u cin g
g re a t f ru it, v e g e ta b le an d w h eat
crops. He says t h a t c o rn w ith s ta lk s
22 feet in h e ig h t a re raise d in Mex­
ico. T he co rn , how ever, is ra d ic a lly
d if f e r e n t from th e corn ra ise d in
th is c o u n try a n d h a s o n ly tw o e a rs
to th e s ta lk .
