PUBLIC HEALTH SERVICE
In the last six weeks nine hospitals
for soldier patients have been open
ed by the U. S. Public Health ser
vice. Of these, four are fine build
ings that have been leased from their
owners. The others are army hos
pitals. built hurriedly during the war,
that have been taken over and put
into as good condition as possible.
The demands on the service for ac
commodation are too great to per
mit even these flimsy wooden war
structures to be refused.
