PUM PKINS ON PEACH TREE.
COTTAGE GROVE— George Tee
te rs evidently had heard of th e fa
m ous banging gardens and is try in g
to copy them . Because he did not
have room in his garden for a pum p
kin vine, he has tra in ed it up over
trellisw o rk and into a peach tree.
It now has th re e pum pkins of good
size hanging from it. His neigh
bors a re b e ttin g th a t the vine will
not be able to hold the pum pkins up,
while he is b e ttin g th a t it will.
Mr. T eeters is raisin g th re e crops
th is year from his garden. The first
two were of rye and the th ird is of
garden tru ck . In th e ground he
planted radishes on for his th ird
crop he now has a fo u rth crop of
w in ter cabbages.
