provement. Casper Snively returned returned
from a trip to the fiend country recently.
Miss June Beebe, of White Salmon
has been here visiting her sister,
Mrs. W. A. Price. Mrs. Price, who
has been quite ill with the pneu
monia, returned to White Salmon
with Miss Beebe.

ette Valley for an indefinate stay.
Fred Tash, Hardware man of Hep
pner, was a business visitor in lioard
inan, on Wednesday.
Since the Board of Directors de
cided they could not furnish the town
water, several people have done the
next best thing and have started
digging wells. Mr. Dingman has
one almost completed; the Macom
bers' have a new well and Mr. Root
dng one in the basement where he
already had several feet start. This
is all very well if nothing happens,
but it Is merely surface water that
is found in all the wells and it would
take only one typhoid epidemic to
wipe out the town.

The play, "In Hot Tamale Land"
which the Senior High had planned
to give at some early date in March,
has been dropped because a number
of the characters are out of school
on account of illness or other reasons
ior an indefinate time.
A six reel movie "Julius Ceasar''
la to be shown in the Auditorium

the community should be interested
in keeping it for two evenings.
The Junior Hi boys raised $8.00
toward purchasing baseball supplies.
The school board added a like am
ount and a supply of good balls has
been ordered.
The Senior Hi is contemplating a
dunce to be given in the Auditorium
'Tarch 11, for the purpose of raising
funds to purchase base ball supplies.
A $1.00 admission fee is to be char
ged and a free lunch will be served
in the cafeteria. It is hoped that
the affair will be a success, as the
boys are greatly in need of funds to
carry on the work.

field, entered the Jr. Hi roon Monday
The cooking class made candy
Tuesday. Divinity, Pinoche and
Marshmellows were made, all of
which were delicious.
