tage Sunday, the guests of Mrs. Har
ter and Miss McNeil

Pearson, who is here visiting, drove
over near Heppner to visit with Mr.

Mrs. Alice Dingman received a
card the past week from "Haywire"
Davis, the evangelist, stating that he
was at Point Lake, Indiana, one of
Billy Sunday's places, and that Rev.
Amos was with him.
Mr. and Mrs. Ed Makinster and
daughter, Edna, of Portland, spent
Sunday and Monday with Mrs. Ma
k Ulster's sister, Mrs. Dingman. Mr.
Makinster is checker in the freight
department of the N. P. railway.
George Mefford and wift motored
to Hood River Monday, and took J.
W. Downing, wife and the Misses
Ir and May Downing with them.

climate might benefit Mr. Downing.
Residents of the Project shouldn't
forget that June 7th is election of
officers of the Parents-Teacher's as
sociation, and every mother in the
community should be present and
cast her vote. We are all desirous
of good schools and this is one way
we can work together to get them.
Don't forget to come.
Miss Myrtle McNeil, Odessa Leo
nard, Mrs. Paler and Louis Clegas
all left Wednesday for Portland.
Louise will visit with Miss McNeil
for a week and then go to Kelso,
Wash, for another weeks' visit and
then return home. This was grand
ma Faler's first visit to the Board
man country. Miss McNeil plans to
return for the opening of school in
September.
The Pa rent -Teachers met in re
gular session last Friday afternoon.
The principal feature of the occas
ion was the report of the stale meet
ing by Mrs. Lulu Wicklander, who
was Boardman's only delegate and
the only one from this district in
cluding four counties. The report
was most comprehensive and will be
of great help in the future work of
the Boardman organization.
