There Is noth-.ng we need more at this
time than a book of that kind to catch
some of the great tide of Immigration
now flowing Into the Columbian haln.
A committee of three has agreed to
"push" this book. It consists of H. S.
Lyman. O. W. Carnahan and H. O Van
Dusen. The mission of the committee is
to Induce subscriptions to the book by
Impressing the property owners of the
county with the Importance of the book
in bringing Immigrants to Clatsop county
and developing Its rich lands, which The
book U expected to show up in va'.uaj.e
detail Its bottom lands, its tide lands,
lis valley lands and its orchard lands.
A very unique feature of the book will
be the development of the fact that the
five valleys between the John Day back,
bone and TiUamoik Head divide con.

some 25 or 30 miles square, with a sea
