the recent Greek defeat, telegraphs:
The stutw and panic caused by the
latest defeat is intense. The ieop!e see

On noon Monday, after a hot sultry
morning, a dense black cloud was seen
to come up from the west out of a

Suddenly a deluge began pouring down,
and for over an hour it continued. In
l.vss than an hour every mountain
gorge and ravine loading Into the Sal
mon became a raging torrent, which

this afternoon held up and attempted to
rob an incoming car on the SteUaeoom
