Lieutenant Liru-k. commanding company F., Ida ho National Guard, stationed at War ner, received a telegram thla morning from Mullan that the steel house wnere the guns and ammunition of the mate militia, at Mullan, are kept, waa enter. ed at midnight lat night by a band of masked men, who stole 75 guna and S00 rounds of ammunition. Lieutenant Link ha" wired Governor Steunenb-rg for in:ructlon. Link will go t Mullan to try to recover the guns' and ammunition. It la thought here that this act is the direct result of President Ed. They examined It and found that the seal was intact and that the wax placed on the envelope to form the seal had not been disturbed. It was only after a most careful exam (nation that the trick was explained. The thief hud washed off all the stamps on the envelope. Including the regis tratlon stamp; had cut a sdt In the envelope, pulled out the bank notes, and put the stamps back on the en velope again, completely hiiiag the cut. It Is not known yet where the robbery was committed, whether In this country en route, or in the foreign country, but a close Investigation wll" be made. MALLORT ELECTED SENATOR.
