a knife wound in hi chest, which pen-
rated the right lung. It "A as Indict
ed by Frank Scott. Scott was arrested
by the police wty this morning and
charged with assault to commit mur
der.
The stabbing occurred in the saloon
last night. Scott, who waa drunk, went
up to th bar and called for two drinks.
He got the liquor and tendered ten
one-cent pieces In payment Behrman
refused to acoept them and Scott thren
a glhss In Bohrman'a face. The latter
went out from behind the bar and
chased hi assailant to the door of the
saloon. A he reached the step Scott
turned, and. drawing a knife, stabbed
him In the chest, the blade cutting a
terrible gash on the right aide. Behr
man fell to the ficor and Scott ran
away, but was arrested later. Behr-
man's life Is despaired of.
