In Cathlame-t bay, just above the Tongue, heavy seas were kicked up by the wtnd. at times the waves going clear over the roadbed. Since the storm the stonework along the outer side of the railroad has been carefully exam ined and not the slightest traces of damage from the waves can 'be de tected. The remains of the late John C. Bryoe arrived from Los Angelew yes terday mornwg, in charge of Mr. Stan ley M. Grimm, of Sacramento, Cali fornia, brother-in-law of the deceased. The funeral was held from the Prss- byteriam church and was largely atten ded by old-time friends of the family. Appropriate services were conduo'ed by the Rev. Mr. Marootte, pastor of the church. The deceased having been a member of Pacific Lodge, K. of P., of this city, the 'burial service of that benevolent order was held at the grave, conducted by Brother A. A. C'lev4and. his remarks being very appropriate. The interment was In the new and beautiful dty cemetery on Clatsop.
