This little Incident contains the clew fn a whole system of spiritual philos- blasing Are on the wintry hearthstone which gives new life to the benumbed traveler who knx-ks at the door- and asks fr shelter. Hut a third fact must not be neglect ed. Christ's love and sympathy cre ated that something which is callc I "virtue" and which He could impart as a remedy tor spiritual and physical Ilia. If we, too. become pure in heait and walk In company with "iiim"i beings,". shall not we, too, have a nu 1 ety of the same "virtue," and cannot we in our smaller way bless th world? What a vista opens before us! If we could get free from i tit bondage of passion, could feel that nothing is of value ex.-rpt the beauti ful, the true and the good: could II'- ernlly dwell among heavenly in nights. do what Is rUht simply Because It is right, and rarxl this life as a lines of preface to the life eternal, th n our broken-hearteiiness and our d sHMid--ncy wvuM take their flight mi l leave us gentle pilgrims to the f.ir away shore. And the poor and sor rowing ami bereaved who came in touch with our quiet lives would ree-lw of the "virtue" which makes one Strom; and glad Kellglon, rl.rhtly utuW.'V.l. is the staff on which wp lean na we cllmo toward the stars. Druggist, City: Dear George: Please send a bottle of Chamberlain's Cough Remedy. I would not feet esy If I know there was none of this valuable remedy In the house. I have given It a fair test and consider It one of the very beat reme dies for oroup that I have ever found. One dose haa always been cuffloien. al though I use It freely. Any cold my children contract yields very readily to this mclirtne. I can conscientiously recommend it for croup and colds in children. Yours respectfully, GEO. E. WOLFF. BSold by Eates-Conn Drug Co. Every woman in the land has - per sonal grudge against Mrs. Cleveland because that clever lady's spring clean ing and moving are both done. TO I't'RE A COLO IN ONI; DAT phy. For many centuries we have iTake laxative Bromo Quinine Tablet. recognised its pathos without perceiv ing the truth that lay behind it. The time has come, however. In the world's enlarged experience and widening knowledge when we have taken an other look and found with glad sur prise a revelation of heretofore un known possibilities. .Not all that Christ said two thou sand years ago Is yet understood. There are summits still covered with mist, and it is more than probable that scores of generstlons must pass before we can make practical use of many truths which are literally burled In the Scriptures awaiting reeurrectlm. The lightning has always been in the clouds, but until the race has reached a certain Intellectual strength the dis covery was impossible. Tou may state the principles of algebra to a child, but he does not appreciate them until he becomes a man. In the Bible mor Is concealed than is revealed, but little by little as we grow toward maturity we open new windows and get ne-.r views. Look at the text once more. A sick woman pressed through tne crowd, knelt on the ground, touched his gar ment, and was healed. It was a mir acle. Names count nothing, but in God's world everything is orderly, in that incident no law was hruken. but anew law was announced. To produce results In accordance with higher laws than those generally known is appa rently to work miracles. Christ's way were simply God's ways, and therefore in our ignorance we find It difficult to explain Him. But stranger than the cure is the fact that He Immediately Knew that j vinue naa gone out or Him. Then He suffered actual loss of something, and was concious of the loss, and that something was of such a nature that tl wrought a physical change in its recipient. Two great laws are laid bare, anl we most needs tremble In tneir pres ence, for they are far reaching In their possible influence. If wp jKinder th- n they will make for us a new heaven and a new earth. In the first place. , if tne woman' attitude had been one of doulit Instead of faith her disease would n 't hav been affected by contact. We are n re treading upon very sacred ground, a. id the truth is mailt- dear that wh.-n you and Uod are In eloe relatl ms tl.e storm ceases and there Is alm. The woman believed, tiusted, yearned f r BHp, and that frame of mind is the baiifs, the only basis, of true religion. There were others In that crowd wh i must have touched Hlrn also, either because of the press or from (-iirio.-i'y, but nothnig unu-ual occurrl And tne reason why they too were not healed in that God never goes throUKh th closed door of a heart. If you np-v; the door and stand on the threshold to welcome the KUest, He mines. If you turn your face toward the west, then for you there is no sunrise, but if you face the east and wait, t lie morning will break on your troubled life. In the second place. If and I say it reverently If Christ had been seif seeking or worldly, no virtue would have gone out of Him. Selfishness is miserly. It would have clutched ih wondrous possession and kept It wlt'-t narrow limits for narrow purposes. The willingness of Christ to give, be cause He loves with Infinite compas sion, and toe anxiety of man to re ceive there, and there only, can be found material out of which to con struct a world-saving religion. Heav en reaching down and man reach fng up then comes the union and fie communion which works miracle 4. What are your cold and chilling state ments at truths that are merely sec ondary which you gathes together and call a creed what are they when com pared with these two glowing facts? A creed Is truth frozen Into glitter ing Icicles, but Christ's words are a All druggists refund the money If It fails to cure. 23c. For sale by Chas. Rogers. THE METHODS OF A GREAT TREATMENT FOR WEAKNESS OF MEN. Which Cured Him .iter Everything Else Failed. Painful diseases are bad enough, but when a man Is slowly wasting away with nervous weakness, the mental forebodings are ten times worse than the most severe pain. There Is no let up to the mental suffering day or night. Sleep Is almost Impossible, and under such a strain men are scarcely respon sible for what they do. For years the writer rolled and tossed on the troubled sea of sexual weakness until It was a question whether he had not better take a dose of poison and thus end alt his troubles. But providential Inspira tion came to his aid in the shape of a combination of medicines that not only completely restored the general health, but enlarged his weak, emaciated parts to natural size and vigor, and he now declares that any man who will take the trouble to send his name and ad drees may have the method of this won derful treatment free. Now when I say free I mean absolutely without cost. because I want every weakened man to get the benefit of my experience. I am not a philanthropist, nor do I pope as an enthusiast, but there are 'thousands of men suffering the mental i tortures of weakened manhood who would be cured at once could they but get such a remedy as the one that cured me. Do not try to study out how I can afford to pay the few postage stamps necessary to mall the Informa tion, but send for It, and learn that there are a few things on earth that al though they cost nothing to get they are worth a fortune to some men and mean a lifetime of happiness to most of us. Write to Thomas Slater, Box M8, Kalamazoo, Mich., and the Information will be mailed In a plain, sealed envelope. VESSELS ON THE WAY TO OREGON.
