This winter season lias been a pe culiar one, particularly November, which goes on record as having had the coldest recorded November weather In Astoria. Another cold wave struck the city in January, and now another one is here. The coldest February weather recorded by the government was in 181)0, when the thermometer registered 18. The coldest known March weather was In 1S91, when 27 degrees was regis tered. The cold, however, has been liberally intersiersed with wet. At Rescue Hall last evening the pro gram was a musical treat consisting. with -the exception of two admirable recitations by Master Arthur Ho.wor.h, and an appropriate realing by Rev.
