The first issue of the first volume of
the Gold Creek News was received yes
terday. Gold Creek Is In Nevada, and
Is the headquarters of the mining dis
trict where Messrs. Corey Brothers are
building the large ditch. One hundred
and seventy-live men and a large num
ber of teams are now at work, and a
second contract for the extension of
the ditch has Just been taken by Mr.
Corey.

Early yesterday morning the light
house tender Mansanlta, Captain Greg

having on board as guests a party of
