Now that good weather Is upon us It can be expected that the mi owner re sorts udjacvnt to Astoria will begin to put on their holiday attire and prepare for the great Influx of visitors expected from Interior points where the climate Is unbearably hot and the soil dry enough to bake. Not only are the sum mer resorts preparing for the visitor, but the summer girl has been busy these past four weeks ninklng new dresses, trimming hats, worrying the life out of the millions and shop keepers In anticipation of a gay season at the seashore. There ure many people, however, who are wise enough to tuke advantage of the beautiful weather that usually prevails during the month of June, hie ing themselves away to the seaside; getting first pick of camping grounds or accommodation at the hotel and boarding house. It Is so this year on the south beach for slreu.lv a large number of people have gone thither. This Is especially true of cottugers. It Is expected with the completion of the Seashore Railroad that the various resorts on Clatsop Reach will open to receive a great Influx of people, not only from Astoria, but from Inland points. Of course It will depend a great deal on the kind of service the man agers of that line will give to the pub lic; the fure will also cut a great fig ure. SEASHORE NOTES. The county court should do some thing toward, the Improvement of Hug Point near Cannon beach. A few days ago Mr. Geo. liowe, of Glen-Warren, lirlghton Reach, notlved a young fur seal hopping along the beach In front of that place.
