day, July 1st, 1805, present: Hon. J. H.
D. Gray, Judge; R. M. Wooden, and Chris
PeUrson, commissioners; F. I. Dunbar,

Court met at 10 o'clock a. m. and tvas
duly opened.
Financial report of F. I. Dunbar, clerk.
and B. ti. Ward, treasurer, examined and
approved and ordered printed.
In the matter of application! of Alex
Gilbert for liquor license, no rcmon
strance being filed, ordered that came be
granted on filing recetpt of treasurer and
bond.
In the matter of the application of EHb.i
J. Hustler et al. for rebate of Interest,
penalty and costs of tax sale of her prop
erty. Nowi at this time the court having
examined the matter, and having ascer
tained that the former sheriff had not
paid the taxes for the year 1803, as agreed
ana runner tnait said property was not
advertised. It is ordered that clerk issue
a redemption certificate on payment of
origmai tax.
In the matter of the reward of $100,
offered by the county Judge for the arrest
and conviction of each of the three per
sons who have been committing robbery
and the burning of the house of D. Burn
side, June 28, 1895. Oredered that the same
ba and Is hereby approved.
In the matter of the application of Lena
Ovens to refund costs oo lot 16. block 8.
Clatsop Grove. Ordered that warrant be
drawn in favor of said Lena Ovens for
amount overpaid In excess of actual costs.
In the matter of the petition of H. S.
Lyman and others to lay out, alter tind
change the county road from Clatsop
City to Sec. 20, T. 8. N. R. 9, W. Now
at this time V-jead the report of the
viewers and surveyors heretofore appoint
ed ito view and survey the county road
as petitioned for by H. S. Lyman, the
first ttlme. Ordered that same be laid over
until tomorrow for second reading.
In the matter of the petition of J. P.
Merrlfield and others to survey,
straighten and re-establish corners and
monuments on the county road from the
south boundary of Clatsop county to F.
ueerman s. Now at this time is read
the report of the viewers and surveyor
heretofore appointed In this matter the
first time. Ordered that the same be laid
over until tomorrow for second reading.
In the matter of the petition of A. V.
Allen, A. Montgomery and Thos. Logan,
to be reimbursed for counsel fees paid
by them in defending suit of Clatsop
county vs. A, V. Allen. Petltflorv read and
taken under advisement.
Now comes J. W. Hare, sheriff, and prj-
sents the delinquent tax rolls for 1892,
VS)3 and 1894, together with his final state
ment and report. Ordered that he be
credited with the several amounts as
shown and that said report be accepted
and approved.
