The Craig Shipbuilding Company, nf Toledo, Ohio, will make plans for an enormous ferryboat for the Trans-Si berian railway. P. Socelow came from St. Petersburg, to have Mr. Craig draw the plans. This line of road will cross Lake Baikal in the southern pnrt of Siberia, near China, where in winter the thermometer drops to 30 degrees below zero, and the ice re mains four feet thick. This lake si 10 by 100 miles. A boat Is wanted that can navlgats through the Ice and trans fer trains, and this cannot be built In Europe.
