tllE DAILY ASTORUn, ASTORIA, THURSDaV MoftNiKd. MfcMBER" 20 . New Life for tlie Worn Out Nervous Tissues. The Body Gains Rapidly Weight and Strength, in From the Greatest of AUNorvoand JJrain Restorers. Painc's Celery Compound Makes People Well. Watch the Crowded Streets of Any Lar:o City. Ey fir the finest portrait galleries In the world are the crowded streets of a large city. "What a serious, tired expression cn most every face!" one cin't help say ing to hlmseir. It is rare that me goes by that does not wear th'it atfjined, warn look; and how many more pale lips there are than rosy ones. How often the eyes are dull, the flesh flab by, and that telftlale line from the cor ner of the Hp to the angle of the nose, drawn painfully deep. P.-or health is unmistakable to the most casual observer. When the body is but poorly filled out with flesh, and a feollng of languor pervades the sys tem, plainly there Is something lacking 1n the vital, nutritive powers. Impure blood is keeping the tissues poorly fed and etarvingly vitalized. Get the blood pure with Palne's celery compound, and languor and debility will leave the body. Restore the ner vous energy to the brain and nerve cells, and goad Bplrlts and vigor will take the place of despondency and moodlUiesa Backaches, persistent head aohe3, thlat general feelieg of fatigue, neury.lcJa, rhleumutism and heart weak ness ttet shows itself In frequent pal pitation are all but various symptoms of a nervous organization badly nour ished. Palne's celery compound pro motes the healthy activity of the or gans that make the blood and keep it pure. The weak parts of the body are thus enabled to build themselves up when this magnificent nerve and tissue builder Is employed. The complete re covery and repair of the diseased or gans in this way goes on rapidly, natur tilly, and the hiappy results are per manent. The effect of the Intelligent use of Palne's celery compound in all Wasting and debilitaltlng diseases is to check at once the decline in strength and keep the tissues from further de generation. An amusrtng incident occurred at the olose of Sam Janes' sermon at Pulaski the other day, Stepping down- from the pulpit, folding his hands across his breast, and looking solemnly over the audience, the great revlvialiflt said: want all the women in this crowd who have not spoken a harsh word or har bored an unkind thought toward theli husbands for a month past to stand up." One old woman apparently on the jfhady side of eixlty stood up. "Come forward and give me your hand," said the preacher." The woman did so, whereupon Jones said: "Now turn around and let this audience see the best looking woman in this country." After taking her eat,. the revivalist addressed the men: "Now I want all the men in this orown who have not tpoken a harsh word or harbored an unkind thought toward thedr wives fot a month past, to stand up." Twenty. seven great. Ug, strapping fellows hopped out with the alacrity of cham pagne corks. "Come forward and give me your hands, my dear boys." Jones gavs each one a hearty shake, after Whioh he ranged them all side by side In front of the pulpit, and facing the audience. He looked them over care fully and solemnly, and then, turning around to the audience, he said: "I want you all to take a good look at the twenty-seven biggest liars in the state of Tennessee." Hartwell (Ga.) Sun. A Dundee correspondent of a contem porary says the large four-masted ship recently launched at Dundee by A. Stephens & Sons, has been privately sold to a Hamburg firm of ship owners at the reduced upset price or 20,000. Since the vessel was launched she has been offered for public sale on several occasions. The vessel, still unnamed. Is built of steel, and is 2,900 tons regis ter, with a carrying capacity of about 47!0 tons. She is classed Al at Lloyd's, end is of the following dimensions: length, 319 feet; breadth, 46 feet; and depth, 26 feet. NOTICE OP FINAL. ACCOUNT.
