The performance will be such as to com mend Itself to all who attend, and it V is almost needless to say, will be free from any features that would jar the feelings of the most fastidious. The committee on athletic club reported highly satisfactory progress, and asked for further time, which was granted. The City Chop House and Restaurant at 410 Second street is open day and night. The Commercial Journal has the fol lowing to say of the season's salmon fleet: There have been two' clearances from Victoria for England during the week. The British bark Formosa, 915 tons, with 38,126 coses salmon, valued at $191,880 for London, on account of R P. Rlthet & Co., L'td., and the British bark City of Carlisle, 823 tons, with 37,381 cases salmon valued at $185,905, for Liverpool on account of Turner ueeton & Co. There are now seven ("Vessels, aggregating 6,437 tons on the way to England. Five are on the wny to Liverpool with 173,601 cases valued at $862,292, and two are on the way to London with 94,584 cases, valued at $474,670; total, 268,345 cases valued ut $1,336,962. The British bark Harold, 1307 tons, arrived November 16, under charter to Robtt. Ward & Co., to load salmon for Liverpool.
