"vTAsmNQTOx, Sept. 18. This baa
been another lively day in the House.
The Democrats early resorted to
their familiar fillibastoring tactics
against tho veritable Lang-
ston conceded election case.
They vacated their seats and broke a
quorum several times.
A call of the. House would bo or
dered each time, and when a quorum
was announced tho Democrats wonld
again retreat to their corridors and
the cloak rooms. Then another call
would be. ordered, and so on, until
there was no quorum.
The doorkeepers had uiinounyin
preventing bulldozing Democrats from
forcing their way out of tho House
chamber.
Speaker Eeed resolved to proTenfc
this, if possible, so ho stationed an
athletic fellow at tho door immediate,
ly to tho left of his left Kilgore, a
wild Toxas member, wanted a drink
and wanted it badly. Tho door
keeper told him he could not go out.
"Whereupon Kilgore lifted his No. 12
cowhide boot and fetched the door a
kick that almost loosened it
from its hinges. It flew back
and hit little Dingee, of Maine, on the
nose, bringing tho blood. Later in
the afternoon this episode was repeated
by Cummings, of New York, who
fetched the door a kick and broke it
open, and proceeded on his way.
The House was unable to do busi
ness, and at 3:05 adjourned amid
applause from the Democrats
