One of the Frederickson Murderer Com plains of Unfairnc3. J. Gibbons, ot Eagle Creek, Clack amas county, returned yesterday from Oysterville,Wasli., where be visited bis brother, Edward Gibbons, who is in jail charged with the murder of Fredertckson and wife at South Bend. George Rose, one of the men impli cated, made a confession, charging that Gibbons dfd the shooting. "jVIy brother complaiu3 that he has not been fairly dealt with in this case," said Sir. Gibbons to an Orego nian reporter yesterday. "At the preliminary examination he sum-1 moned two witnesses who would have j established hi3 innocence, but for' some reason their testimony was not' taken. These witnesses were Martin I Nester and Tommy Brown. My brother and these men had a contract to slash some land. My brother says he was with Nester and Brown when the murder was committed. "After Edwards and young Ko3e had been arrested, Hose's father asked my brother if he would not go to Bay Center to see that no violence was offered to the boys. My brother asked: 'How much is there in it for me?' Rote replied: 4I will pay yon good wages.' My brother agreed and went down to Bay Center. The au thorities notted that he took consid erable interest in the matter and arrested him. "After tbo preliminary examination young Rose was taken from Bay Center to Oyaterville. On the boat m' brother went to Rose and said: What have E ever done to you that you should make a confession like that? Have T ever misused yon?' Roso answered 'no.' Then my brother asked him: 'Did you ever see me on the place.' Rose again replied 'no.' 'Then, why in did you say that about me?' To this Roso replied: 'Well, they did not put it down the way I told it.' My brother then called Sheriff Turner and told him what Rose had said, to which tbo sheriff replied: He will make some more statements yet.' " -Uregoninn, 1?. fi:'i(Inti.H Arnica Salv. Dispatches from Red Bluff are to the effect that 70 per cent, of the spring lambs have been lost and that losses of old sheep have l)een almost as heavy.
