The steam schooner A ugusta arrived
from Tillamook yesterday. She
brought up seven passengers for As
toria, among whom was H. S. Sinister.
The revenue cutter Thos. Cor win
started out on a short cruise north
ward yesterday.
The steamship Sianal, Captain M.
Bendegard, came down from Portland
yesterday and left forPort Townsend
and other points on Puget sound. She
carried 10 sacks of flonr, 19i sacks of
oats, 260 sacks of feed, 2,707 sacks of
wheat, 200 cases of giant powder and a
miscellaneous cargo.
The steamship Danube, Captain J.
E. nill, arrived yesterday afternoon
from Vancouver, and after a short stop
in the stream for the custom house in
spector, she went up the river. Her
cargo is mostly merchandise from
China for Chinese firms in Portlaud.
She had five passengers, consisting of
a photographer named James Hogg,
with his wife and three children.
