Rich and Poor,
Prince and Peasant, the Millionaire and
Day Laborer, by their common use of
this remedy, attest the world-wide rep
utation of Ayer's Pills. Leading phy
sicians recommend these pills for
Stomach and Liver Troubles, Costive
ness, Biliousness, and Sick Headache ;
also, for Rheumatism, Jaundice, and
Neuralgia. They are sugar-coated ; con
tain no calomel ; ere prompt, but mild,
in operation; and, therefore, the very
best medicine for Family Use, as well as
for Travelers and Tourists.
"I have derived great relief from
Ayer's Pills. Five years ago I was
taken so ill with
Rheumatism
that I was unable to do any work. I
took three boxes of Ayer's Pills and
was entirely cured. Since that time I
am never without a box of these pills."
Peter Christensen, Sherwood, "Wis.
"Ayer's Pills have been in use in my
family upwards of twenty years and
have completely verified all that is
claimed for them. In attacks of piles,
from which I suffered many years, they
afford greater relief than any other
medicine I ever tried." T. F. Adams,
Holly Springs, Texas.
"I have used Ayer's Pills for a num
ber of years, and have never found any
thing equal to them for giving me an
appetite and imparting energy and
strength to the system. I always keep
them in the house." R. D. Jackson,
Wilmington, Del.
" Two boxes of Ayer's Pills cured mo
of severe
Headache,
from which I was long a sufferer.
Emma Keyes, Hubbardston, Mass.
"Whenever I am troubled with con
stipation, or suffer from loss of appetite,
Ayer's Pills set me right again." A. J.
Kiser, Jr., Rock House, Va.
"Ayer's Pills are in general demand
among our customers. Our sales of
them exceed those of all other pills com
bined. We have never known them
fail to give entire satisfaction."
Wright & Hannelly, San Diego, Texas.

The Alaska Salmon Oatch.
San Francisco, Aug. 9. The
schooner Comet is at present dis
charging 5,000 cases ,of salmon,
packed at Chrftnik bay, Alaska, by
the Choumagin Island Packing com
pany. When the Comet left, the
brig" Courtney was expected to leave
for this port on the same afternoon,
with 7,000 cases and the bark Modoc
on September 1. with 5.C0O cases.
She left the Portland, Maiy Flick
inger, and Katy Winkelman in port.
Captain Lass confirms the former
report of light packs this season; bill
as the packers still had two months'
work before them, they were not dis
couraged. Up to July 27, the Chou
magin Island company had put up
7,000 cases, the Chignik Bay Packing
company 6,000 cases.
Regarding the pack at other points
in Alaska, Cnplain Lass states that
the Russian American Packing com
pany, at Afognak island, has packed
about 8,500 cases, and that Pollock
Dodge at the same place has salted
down only 250 barrels. The reports
from Copper river were not encour
aging. At Karluk the pack at the
Alaska Commercial company's can
nery, up to July 25, was about 17,000
cases, und that of the Aleutian Island
Packing compaiiy, at Kodiak, about
10,000 cases. The Alaska Improve
ment company, at Karluk, has packed
9,000 oases.
