This medicine is an Alterative, and causes a radical change in the system. The process, in some cases, may not be. quite so rapid as in others ; but, with persistence, the result Is certain. Read these testimonials : " For two years I suffered from a se vere pain in my right side, and had other troubles caused by a torpid liver and dyspepsia. After Riving several medicines a fair trial without a cure, I began to take Ayer's Sarsaparilla. I was greatly benefited by the first bottle, and after taking five bottles I was com pletely cured." John W. Benson, 70 Lawrence St., Lowell, Mass. Last May a large carbuncle broke out on my arm. The usual remedies had no effect and I was confined to my bed for fight weeks. A friend induced me to try Ayer's Sarsaparilla. Less than three bottles healed the sore. In all my expe ri.Mico with medicine, I never saw- more Wonderful Results. Another marked effect of the use of this medicine was the strengthening of ray sight." Mrs. Carrie Adams, Holly Springs, Texas. " I had a dry scaly humor for years, and suffered terribly ; and. as my broth er and sister were similarly afflicted, I presume the malady is hereditary. Last winter. Dr. Tyron, (of Fernandina, Fla.,) recommended me to take Ayer's Sarsaparilla, and continue it for a year. For live months I took it daily. I have not hail a blemish upon mv body for the last three months." T. E. Wiley, 145 Chambers st., New York City. " Last fall and winter I was troubled with a dull, heavy pain in my.side. I did not notice it much at first, but it gradually grew worse until it became almost unbearable. During the latter part of this time, disorders of the stom. noli and Iivor increased my troubles. 1 began taking Ayer's Sarsaparilla, and, after faithfully continuing the use oj this medicine for some months, the pain disappeared and I was completely cured." How One of Mama's 013 Time Lassies WoiTHer Husland. Perhaps the most romantic of all the tales of Ancient Brunswick Town is that of Molly Finneyand how she got a hnsband. It has a wild begin ning, but n good, old-fashioned end ing. In 1756 the eastern Indians were in a most warlike and ferocious mood. They massacred many of Brunswick's settlers, and ono night made a raid on the bouse ofThomas Means at "Flying Point" They battered in the door and dragged out Means and his family. The settler fought them manfully, but his fate was sealed. Two Indians held his arms while a third shot the brave man through the body with his own rifle. Meantime Mrs. Means ran back into the house with her infant and Vainly tried to barricade the door. With fierce yells they burst into the house again, and with one ball killed the infant and pierced the mother's breast. Molly Finney was Mrs. Means' sister, a blooming young damsel, high colored and plump. They seized her in her night clothes and carried her off to Canada, giving her a blanket to help cover her. At Quebec they sold her to a farmer for SG in money and a bottlff of strong water. For a long time Molly worked in this farmer's fields, but he suddenly became jeal ous of a young French Canadian who was seen to pay her some marked at tentionB; and locked her in her cham ber in his house. About this time there came to anchorage before Quo bee a certain bold Captain McLellan, of Falmouth, Me., in his fast brigan tine. He learned Molly's story and secretly arranged with her a plan for bee escape. One night he threw a rope to her window, and she lowered herself to tlio.gronncl. Before morn ing.she and her rescuer were sailing rapidly down the St. Lawrence before a stiff breeze, bound for Falmouth. Youcanguesrthe sequel how they fell in love and ero married If ever a girl deserved a good husband it was Molly Finney, and the Lewis ton Journal hopes she was as beauti ful and true a woman as it did be hoove the valliant captain to tnke to wife. 'A Husband's Honor Vindicated by a Dead woman's Letters. New Obleans, June 14. Mrs. Henry Favrot. not yet twenty years ot age, was found dead in bed this morning. Letters that she left show that sho deliberately resolved to mil herself, as a partial atonement for having falsely blackened the reputa tion of her husband and with the hoDQ ot vindicating bis good name. Mrs. Favrot was formerly Miss Lillie Dubreca. She was a favorite at home and in the social circles she freauented. No suspicion against her reputation had ever been breathed against her until u few months ago when it was discovered that she was in a delicate condition. Pressed by her parents, Miss Dubroca said that Henry Favrot. her cousin, a gentle man who was kuown to have been very assiduous in bis attentions toward her, and sue uaa been secretly married. Favrot. who had but recently been admitted to tho bar, expressed the utmost indignation and surprise when confronted with the young lady. He denied emphatically hav ing been anything except a friend. She persisted, however, nnd to save the honor of her family he consented to marry her, bnt be never lived with her. The story is told in two letters that were found on a table near the bed. One was open. It was written with a reu pencil, ;aud was addressed "lo the public." It was in Mrs. Favrot's handwriting, and read as follews: "The public is anxious to hear mj last words. Perhaps there nre not many things to say, except to relieve anxiety, 1 suppose. I mako this state ment, the frnth of which is unques tionable, but there 'are many who do not know it was a fact. I nssert that the man bearing the uamo of my husband is not guilty of that of which he is accused. His character in this case has been blackened for ray own selfish motives, and they mint be known while it is yet in my power to make them. I have nothing more to leave behind me-but this proof of my husband's innocence." The other letter was inclosed in au envelope addressed to her father, A. V. Dnbroca, Port' Allen, West Baton Rocne. and was worded m follews: "H. F. is not tbe-fatber of 'niy child. L. F." A CHILD KILM'.O.
