Washington, April 13. The pres ided has appointed Mosos P. Wy- man, of Ouster county, Montana, agent of the Indians at the Grow ajency. LIFE IN B03T0NT0WN. Daxvnrt, April 13. A special from Lamar, Colorado, says iostontown, oighty-fivo miles south of here, and the same distanco from tho railroads is in possession of a gang of ontlaws headed by Bill Thompson an old pal of "Billy the Kid." They have Jaken possession of stores, saloons, post office, and damaged the contents and threaten tho lives of the citizens if they attempt to interfere. It has been lired in several places and people have fled to surrounding towns for safety. It is feared the town will be burned any night. Couriers have been sent to Trindad and L03 Animas for aid. A sensation has been created in business and social circles, by tho filing of n suit for absolute divorco from her hus band by Mrs. Minnie Estelle Booth, on the" chargo of infidelity. The parties aro wealthy and prominent in this city. Tho husband, Alfred E. Booth, is the head of the oyster and fruit packing house of A. Booth & Co., aud is a prominent mason. Whenever the grade of any street has been established, the Com mon Council may authorize the owner or owners of nny property thereon to cut down or fill up such street in front of such property according to such grade, at tno expense and cost of such owner. Sec. 111. The authority mentioned in the last section cannot be given after an assessment has been made for the Im provement of the street in f rout of such property, and in giving such authority the Council may impose such terms and conditions thereon as may be necessary to secure the deposit of excavations up on any part of such street as may re quire to be filled up.
