This medicine is an Alterative, and causes a radical change in the sy3tem The process, In some cases, may not be quite so rapid as in others ; but, with persistence, the result Is certain. Read these testimonials : " For two yeara T suffered from a se rere pain in my right side, and had other troubles caused by a torpid liver and. dyspepsia. After giving several medicines a fair trial without a cure, I began to take Ayer'a Sarsaparilla. I was greatly benefited by the first bottle, and after taking Ave bottles I was com pletely cured." John W. Benson, 70 Lawrence St., Lowell, Mass. Last May a large carbuncle broke out on my arm. The usual remedies had no effect and I was confined to my bed for Ight weeks. A friend induced mo to try Ayer's Sarsaparilla. Less than three bottles healed the sore. In all my expo-m-nco with medicine, I never saw more Wonderful Results. Another marked effect of tho uso of this medicine was tho strengthening of niv sijlit." Mrs. Carrie Adams, Holly Springs, Texas. " I had a dry scaly humor for years, and suffered terribly; and, as mv broth er and sister were similarly afflicted, I presume the malady Is hereditary. Last winter. Dr. Tyron, (of Fernandina, Fix,) recommended me to take Ayor's Sarsaparilla, and continue it for a year. For Ave months I took it daily. I hate not had a blemish upon my body for the last three months." T. E. Wiley, 140 Chambers St., New York City. " Last fall and wintor I was troubled with a dull, heavy pain in my side. I did not notice it much at first, but it gradually grew worse until It became almost unbearable. Daring the latter part of this time, disorders of the stom. ach and liver increased my troubles. I began taking Ayer's Sarsaparilla, and. after faithfully continuing the use o( this medicine for some months, the palq disappeared and I was completely cured." Mrs. Augusta A. It is a fact worth knowing that, as a household remedy, for children and adults, Ayer's Pills are inval uable. Doc Smart's Trick. "Dee" Smart, a noted western ban dit, with two confederates, bought all the playing cards in El Paso, at Goldsberg's stationery store, pay ing for them 875, and when ques tioned as to what the' intended to do with them said they were going up in the mines and expected to do a great business, but if they failed they would like the privilege to return what they did not use. Goldsberg consented, and in a few days they returned with about half of them. This same Golds berg was in the habit cf furnish ing all the faro batiks in town with cards, and upon receivinsj orders for them and having none on hand but those returned by Smart, ho divided the lot between the diller ent "banks," and on the same night every "bank" in El Paso was "busted" by Smart und a few of his confedorates. The last "bank broke" examined the cards and found that every card had been "pinched." An investigation at each "bank", showed their cards "pinched" in tho same mannnr. It was found out the next day tint Smart had retnrned these cards to Goldsburp, and, of course, it was decided that Smart and his gang "pinched" them. "The town was too hot for him several days after. It is estimated that tho winnings were about 8123,000. San Fran cisco Argonaut.
