Captain C. Errickson arrived
this morning from San Francisco
to take charge of the bark Aure
ola, which is loading with coal at
tliis port. The captain is an em
ploye of the Alaska, Commercial
company and is a thorough tea
man. He reports that when he
left San Francisco, everything
was fitted out for the Alaska saltn
on fisliing. The Alaska Commer
cial company had houjiht two ves
sels, which were being fitted up
as steamers, and many others were
making preparations for the fish
ing. Twenty new canneries have
been started up there in addition
