This is a big country. Our
members of congress have to trav
el further than the most distant
officer of the Roman empire had
to go to render an account of his
stewardship. Tlie congressmen's
mileage accounts are a geograph
ical study. In the case of Mr. M.
A. Smith, the new delegate from
Arizona, the sum of 1,600 will be
paid to reimburse him for his ex
penses from Tombstone and back
again. Mr. Hermann, of Oregon,
who comes next on the list, will be
paid 1,340. The two San Fran
cisco members Messrs. Morrow
and Felton, who will travel 6,346
miles each, will receive $1,269.
Mr. Crain.of Texas, who lives 2,
000 miles from Washington, will
be allowed $800. The smallest
mileage credit will be to Mr. Lee,
of Alexandria, Virginia, who will
succeed Mr. Barbour of that place.
Alexandria is eight miles distant
from Washington according to the
sorgeant-at-arm's computation. Mr.
Lee will-therefore receive the sura
of $3.20. Under the law each
representative is entitled to mile

now four years old. Virion 13 months old a
lumpapposred on her hecLwhlch slowly grew
larger. Tho family physician thought It wa
caused by a pleco of broken glass or needle,
but failed to brlaganythlas to light. T&e
child becamo feebler all the tune, seemlaj to
less the use of her Its. aad finally quit walk.
In? entirely. Tho middle fln$er aad thumb
of cither hand became enlarged, the fleah be
coming hard. Tho alp joints became Involv
ed, so that when seventeen months old aha
could not stand, baring lost the use of leg
and arm. Partial curvaturo of the spina also
followed. The nervous system was wrecked,
muscles contracted, and there was general
wasting of flesh and muscle. At eighteen
months of age she wa3 placed under the
treatment of a prominent physician of Bos
ton, Mass., bat at the end of ten months she
had declined to such a degree that she was In
a dying condition. This was In April, 1333
Wo took tho child away not knowing what
to do. In this dreadful dilemma we wera
over-persuaded by friends to try "one bot
tle" of S win's SrEcinc, which we did, and
bef ore It had all been taken we saw a change
for tho better In her symptoms. We kept It
up, and have done so to this day, and will
keep It up. If the Lord wills, for many days
to come, for It has brought our dying Hasel
to life, to vigor, to strength and health again.
The ashen hue of her cheeks has changed to
a rosy tint. She Is able to walk anywhere,
her laaguor and melancholy have passed
away, and sho Is now a blithe, cheerful, hap
py romping child. Should you wish to In
crease your testimonials of proof of the
Irruo of S.S.S., our names and what we
have said Is but a portion of what we owe to
you. should you wish to use them.
