The morn L-rcjiks clear with Hooding sunshine. The light breoze scaic: lifts the leaf hanging on its slen der &te::i. East and '.vest tWb birds sing, and the perfumed air sweeps round a thousand blo-ssoms, higher climbs the sun, and at length white clouds, like floating mists come across the sky. The winds st:r, and the trees sway lazily to their touch. Cloudy mantles arc trailed across the mountain heights, while their sides grow darker in the purpling shadows. Then along tt e horizon's line are slowly uplili great, nmssive, cloudy pillars. They stand like airy Hercules, foreul.iug the battle of the ele ments. The skies grow darker, and the drht of cloud sweeps over them until the blue is hidden and the glory of the sunshine has .faded. As night nears, the day turns ashen gray. The stars are hid, and through the semi-tropic calm breaks suddenly the moaning wind. Thicker and denser grows the darkening pall, and the birds seek sheltered nests, and the cat tle come lowing to the bars. The eye of the farmer is lifted to the clouds as if to measure their dens ity, and if thick and black he goes on his way rejoicing, following the cattle home while dreaming of bil lowy fields of wheat and corn with swaying banners, and mead ows of alfalfa purple with its bloom. He hears in fancy the song of the running river and the merry gurgle of the brook as it dances over its pebbly bed. It is like music to his ears, like the song of plenty to the land. More lightly steps the merchant as the clouds thicken above his homeward way, for he thinks of the abundant har vests that shall turn to golden eagles in tho farmers' hands, and be brought to him in purchase for his htjfes. The man of traffic smiles as he feels the first patter inpdrops upon his hand. It brings to his inner ear the shriek of the En ttj the year; the ildreii should re ir children; wh ves are sure t theart and irie that are always otten as goods, and our Harry g the latest patterns, and choi made in Astoria, as we shall KG DAY of which due not whis'ie bearing tin' well-fi'h'd T.iin :!oii its iron roa.I, ladct .th ffiLts Jind Oil and all th fu'i . .s .:' tr.d". Tho toiling enter rejoicoth, for will not tt climatic charms of which he has boosted and the fertility of the soil which his pen has painted be revealed? Will not the farmer come to him to advertise his crops and the merchant his wares? The laughing harvest mean plenty for his purse no less than for that of him who tickles the soil with the plow and the turning spade? All the tropic world is glad, and as the rain pour3 down its first silver winter tide, the earth and man join in their joyous thanks giving. WHAT BRAXDKETE'S PIIXS DO. In BaANDnETn's Pills the true life medicine has been found, composed as they are of numerous vegetables so combined that each multiplieslhe virtues of the rest. They never can do any harm. Theiraction is lvrays the same, no matter how long or in what doses they are taken. They purge away the waste particles of the system. Th?y recruit the animal vigor and arrest the progress of de cay. They phrify the blood. They stimulate the liver. They invigor ate digestion. They open the pores. They make the bowels do the work of the kidneys, thus giving those organs an ofttimes needed rest. One or two at night for a week will dem onstrate their power and is generally sufficient to cure ordinary diseases. The wrongs of the poor are al ways made eloquent in the mouths of the lazy. Tho lazy man always confounds himself with the poor. Gath. "Handy to have in the bouse" Ayer's Cherry Pectoral a prompt I and certain remedy for croup, colds ;mu pulmonary aircctions.
