"What's the politics of the Daily Moon?" asked Pilpher of Nixum, who was reading the paper.- "Well," replied the latter, "it calls itself independent, but when it's quoted by a Republican jour nal it is set down as 'Democratic,' and when a Democratic orjjan re prints an article from its column sit is put in the Republican list. You pays your money and takes your choice." Gleason, the horse-tamer, says that the word "Whoa" should never be spoken to a horse unless it is desired that he stop still. A lad near Albany, N. Y., knows what sound advice this is. He was on a mowing' machine and fell in front of the k-.ives. As he fell he shouted "Whoa" to his horses and they stopped. The cutting knife of the machine was resting on top of the boy's foot when he was t skcu up. Had the horses taken a single step more, the lad's foot would have been mansled. The editor of the Washington Farmer was recently informed by thesecretary of the territory that the Grst cargo of shingles shipped from Olympia to Pittsburg so amazed the Pennsylvania mart that the expressed their incredu lity by writing to the secretary of this territory for an affirmation, or oath, as to whethor or not the shingles were genuine cedar. The dealers did not believe that it was possible for our territory to pro duce such cargoes, free from knots and blemish, and in apparently such unlimited quantities. The anarchists throughout this country and Europe announce that they w'll assume the care or providing for the families of their executed brethren. That is the one practical and legitimate idea which they have evolved from all their savings and doings. It is almost too practical to commend itself permanently to their favor. If they hold to the principle and keep on with their anarchistic propagandism tn this country they will eventually have a big family on their hands. 3v r;-fvOc Blood. Therefore, the importance of early and effective treatment cannot be overestimated. Ayer's Cherry Pec toral may always be relied upon for the speedy 'cure of a Cold or Cough. Last January I was attacked with a severe Cold, which, by neglect and fre quent exposures, became worse, linally settling on my lungs. A terrible cough soon followed, accompanied by pains'in the chest, from which x suffered intense ly. After trying various remedies, with out obtaining relief, I commenced taking Ayer's Cherry Pectoral, and was Speedily Cured. I am satisfle'd that this Temedy saved my life. Jno. WebstcuyPawtucket, It. I. I contracted a scvero cold, which suddenly developed into Pneumonia, presenting dangerous aud obstinate symptoms. 3Iy physician ordered the use of -Ayer's Cherry Pectoral. His in structions were followed, and the result was a rapid and permanent cure. H. E. Stimpson, Eogers Prairie, Tes. Two years ago I suffered from a severe Cold, which settled on my Lungs. I con sulted various physicians, and took the medicines they prescribed, but received only temporary relief. A friend induced me to try Ayer's Cherry Pectoral. After taking two bottles of this medicine-1 was cured. Since then I havo given the Pec toral to my children, and consider it The Best Remedy for Colds, Coughs, and all Throat and Lung diseases, ever used in my family. Robert Vanderpool, Meadville, Pa. Some time ago I took a slight Cold, which, being neglected, grew worse, and settled on my Lung3. I had a hacking cough, and was very weak. Those who knew me best considered my lifo to bo in great danger. I continued to suffer until I commenced using Ayer's Cherry Pectoral.
