Chas. Lutjens, Davis, Col lins and Guilliams, who have been spending some time sealimr, wp north, have returned. Capt. Char ley took the boys up in his steam schooner, the Kale and Anna but he didn't bring 'em back some more, the whyfores being that Uncle Sam concluded, after the party had secured five hundred seal skins, that he wanted the lit tle schooner and her furs, and therefore the vessel and her load was left at Sitka, to be adjudicated by thr court. It was an unlucky season for all hands, so far, as in dications point to loss of vessel and cargo. PoM. An editor may say something good of a man every week for a 3'ear, and he will not hear from it. But let him in a busy time, per mit something to creep into his colums that can be construed into an unfavorable comment on his business, and the devil is to pay. It is so of other vocations, too. A butcher may give a man fresh, juicy steaks for a year and he will not hear from it; but if he sends an "old back-number' cut just onco, he will know all about it. It is the way of the world. We're a nation of growlers. Queen Emma, of Holland, is a good soul, with fine eyes, but for some reason she always talks as if she were suppressing a cry, and it keeps ever' body around her in a moist and sympathetic state. The king has to affect almost a brutal state of unfeeling enthusiasm to counteract the crape that always hangs on her majesty's vocal door knob. "Tfvvx"JV Trifle with any Throat yvi" or Lung Disease. "When the eyes become weak, and the lids inflamed and sore, it is an evidence that the system has become disordered by Scrofula, for which Ayer's Sarsaparilla is the best known remedy. Scrofula, which produced a painful in flammation in my eyes, caused me much suffering for a number of years. By the advice of a physician I commenced taking Ayer's Sarsaparilla. After using this medicine a short time I was completely Cured My cye3 are now in a splendid condi tion, and I am as well and strong as ever. 3lrs. "William Gage, Concord, N. H. For a nnmber of yeara I was troubled with a humor in my eyes, and was unable to obtain any relief until I commenced using Ayer's Sarsaparilla. This medi cine has effected a complete cure, and I believe it to be the best of blood puri fiers. C. E. Upton, Nashua, N. H. From childhood, and until with a few montlis, I have been afflicted with "Weak and Sore Eyes. I have used for these complaints, with beneficial results, great blood purifier. Mrs. C. Phillips, Glover, Vt. I suffered for a year with inflamma tion in my left eye. 'Three ulcers formed on the ball, depriving mo of sight, and causing great pain. After trying many other remedies, to no purpose, I was final ly induced to use Ayer's Sarsaparilla. By Taking three bottle3 of this medicine I have been entirely cured. My sight has been re stored, and there is no sign of inflamma tion, sore, or ulcer in my eye. Kendal T. Bowen, Sugar Tree Ridge, Ohio. My daughter, ten years old, was afflict ed with Scrofulous Sore Eyes. During the last two vears she never saw light of any kind. 'Physicians of the highest standing exerted their skill, but with no permanent success. On the recommen dation of a friend I purchased a bottle of Avcr's Sarsaparilla, which my daughter commenced taking. Before she had used the third bottle her sight was restored. Her cure is complete.
