JJarnum say?: "Be care ful to advertise in some shape or other, because it is evident that if a man has ever so good an article for sale and nobody knows it, it will brinjj him no return. ihe whole nhilosom v of life is, first sow, then reap. This principle applies to ail Kinas 01 uubiucas, and to nothing more eminently than advertising. If a man has a really good article there is no way in which he can reap more advan tageously than by sowing to the public in this way." An ingenious plan to save a dy ing pear tree was adopted in the garden of L. M. Chase, of Boston. The mice had girdled the tree so that it seemed bound to die. Mr. Chase planted four small trees around it, and close to it, cut off the tops, pointed the ends, and, making incisions in the bark of the pear, bent the smallest trees, and grafted them upon the dying trunk. They all lived, and that tree draws its nourishment from the small ones. This season a bushel of handsome pears were taken from it. "Good night, mamma," said lit tle Frank, as he put down his little brown head on the pillow. Mam ma stood at the door, just readv to go down stairs. "Good night, mamma. "Will the little small voice T hear in the night hurt me?'1 "No, my darling." "It's God's voice, isn't :t mam ma?" "Yes, my darling." "The minister said it was, didn't he, mamma?" "Yes, love." "Was it God's voice that said 's'cat, s'cat,' under the window last night?" The town of Saranac, Michigan, is sued by Julian F. Sore Eyes The eyes are always in sympathy with the body, and afford, an excellent index of it3 condition. When the eyes become weak, and the lids inflamed and sore, it i3 an evidenco that the system has become disordered by Scrofula, for which Ayer's Sarsaparilla is the best known remedy. Scrofula, which produced a painful in flammation in my eyes, caused me much suffering for a number of years. By the advice of a physician I commenced taking Ayer's Sarsaparilla. After using this medicine a short time I was completely Cured My eye3 are now in a splendid condi tion, and I am as well and strong as ever. Mrs. William Gage, Concord, N. H. For a number of yeara I was troubled with a humor in my eyes, and was unable to obtain any relief until I commenced using Ayer's Sarsaparilla. This medi cine nas effected a complete cure, and I believe it to be tho best of blood puri fiers. C. E. Upton, Kashua, N. H. From childhood, and until with a few months, I have been afflicted with Weak and Soro Eyes. I have used for these complaints, with beneficial results, Ayer's Sarsaparilla, and consider it a great blood purifier. Mrs. C. Phillips, Glover, Vt. I suffered for a year with inflamma tion in my left eye. "Three ulcers formed on the ball, depriving me of sight, and causing great pain. After trying many other remedies, to no purpose, I was final ly induced to use Ayer's Sarsaparilla. By Taking three bottle3 of this medicine I have been entirely cured. My sight has been re stored, and tnere is no sign 01 mnamma tionore, or ulcer in my eye. Kendal T. Bowen, Sugar Tree itiugc, unio.
