Leathers' boat shop, over Arndt & Ferchen's : root of ljfavin street, The Joint Lease. The Northern Pacific railroad directors have withdrawn their con ditions to the joint lease of the Or egon Railway & Navigation prop erty, to which the Union Pacific objected. The joint lease w not signed, but i uettions about tne legal procedure are understood to be the only . ones which nave not yet been settled. The Northern Pacific board recently voted to unite with the Union Pacific in the lease, but imposed, the condition that each company should be responsible for only one-half the guaranteed dividends and the loss of the company should be limited to $250,000 a year for three years. These restrictions have been withdrawn and the Northern Pacific directors have voted in effect to unite with the Union Pacific in the joint and sev eral lease of the Oregon company's property.
