If the prohibition movement and the labor movement were both wiped out of existence the state of New York would be debatable, with the chances in favor of the Republicans, as the figures since 1S83 show. If the prohibition party were the only outside party, the chances would be in favor of the Democrats. But the labor movement, an unknown quantity, steps in and changes the outlook.
