on Saturday, the loth day of September,

the assessment roll of 18S7 for said district,
to correct any errors, etc., and all taxpayers

build a railroad to that burg, and
has finally determined to make a
beginning on home effort. Stock
in the Bellingham Bay R. H. &
N. Co. is being sold to resident
property holders, nnd Mr. Uanheld
expects to leave for Boston soon
to negotiate bonds for building
the first section of the road. "We
may now look for something sub
stantial to be accomplished. From
all indications the Whatcom peo
pie are taking hold with a will.
