The Washington Post has this to say of MMle Rhea: "Her manner is delicate and re fined; her diction is purer and her voice, without losing any of its remarkable power, has grown more mellow and of Greater range in the upper register. As the beautiful Galatea in Gilbert's classic comedy the charming actress was a reve lation, in the first act -whioh she carried gracefully and pleasantly, she unfolded but little of her power, and that, in the line of a charming ease and naturalness, but as the piece progressed, she rose to and even above the dramatic require ments of scenes and situation. The rausio of her voice, the fascination of her manner, the studied emphasis that gave point and humor, and her exhibition of dramatic power and intensity carried the audience by storm. To describe her Galatea in detail would but faintly hint at tho reality f conception and execu tion. It was all that the most fastidious could desire loving and tender, sacrific ing and sorrowful, gay and gloomy. Rhea was given a warm welcome here. She has had many admirers in this oity, and her friends welcomed her with an enthusiasm which testified to the esteem in whioh she has always been held in "Washington both as an actress and a woman.
