The Star's London cablegram says: In consequence of the plot to assas sinate the czar, the imperial palace has been placed under charge of secret police. Attendants of the imperial family are under strict surveillance, and guards consisting of picked men are replaced at outer entrances, in corridors and at approaches to the imperial apartments, and the lines of sen tries are doubled. Specials repre sent that great excitement exists throughout Russia. A large num ber of domiciliary visits were mado to private residences of government officers and merchants and exten sive seizures of documents effected. Evidence is accumulating that the conspiracy is moro dangerous than ever discovered in Russia before.
