The out break of Cheyenne Indians, which was threatened Saturday last, has been brewing for a year or longer. Army officials here attribnte it to dis satisfaction on the part of the Indi ans at leasing their reservation to cat tlemen. The Cheyenne reservation is one of the largest in Indian terri tory. It comprises about 4,279,000 acres. Of this amount more than 3,000,000 acres are controlled by cat tlemen, who are grazing vast herds. The Indians are divided on the ques tion ol leasing me janu, a majonry apparently being opposed to it. It is said here by officials that the cattle men have resorted to questionable methods in securing control of the ranches. Washington, June 24.
