waters of Bakers Bay by a bulkhead of piles
and rip rap. as follows ;
The piles to be driven five feet from cen
ters, capped with 4x15 Ineh plank doubled
and breaking joints, well bolted to each pile,
and faced on the outside wilh 3 Inch plank
thoroughly spiked.
The rip-rap work to be laid up smooth on
tho outer face, well packed against the
bulkhead on both sides, not less than three
feet thick at the top. and properly sloped.
The work is about 3.S00 feet loug and six
feet high.
The government reserves the right to ie

An ordinance concerning minors.
27ic city of Astoria docs ordain as
follows.
Sec. l. That no minor, under the axe
of eishetcu years, shall be permitted to
go abroad or be allowed to remain in
any theater or place of amusement in
which intoxicating liquors are sold, or
in any dance-house, or wander about
the street3 of the city after the hour of
nine o'clock at night, unless such minor
s-hall have the permission of his or her
guardian or parent, or shall bo accom
panied by such parent, or unless such
minor shall have necessary business
upon such street or streets. Any minor
who shall violate the provisions of this
ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a
misdemeanor, and upon conviction
thereof in the police court shall be pun
ished by a line of not less than one, nor
more titan thirty dollars or by impris
onment in the city jail not to exceed ten
days.
