Following is tue text or tne house i?oreisn Contract Labor" bill as ameuded and passed by tne senate: Be it enacted, ere., -That from and alter tue passage of tbis act it shall be unlawful for any person, company, partnership, or cooperation, to in any way assist or encourage the importa tion or emigration of any alien or aliens, any foreigner or foreigners, into the United States, its territories or the District of Columbia, under contract or agreement, parole or special, oxpress or implied, made previous to the importation or mi gration of such alien or aliens, for eigner or foreigners, to perform labor or service oi any Kina in tne united States, its terMories or the District of Columbia. Sec. 2. That all contracts or agree ments, express or implied, parole or speciaL which may hereafter be made by and between any person, company, partnership or cooperation, and any foreigner or foreigners, alien or aliens, to perform labor or service, or naving reierence to tne perform ance of labor or service, by any per son in the United States, its territo ries or the District of Columbia, previous to the migration or impor tation of the person or persons whoso labor or service is contracted for into the United States, shall be utterly void and of no effect Sec. 3.
