NVGi MANHOOD SfSgar A detailed account of the late up rising in Corea is printed in the Japan Mail. It seems that the bloody scenes in beoui, -wmen lea to tho flight of the king and of the Jap anese colony in the capital, "were brought about by the aggressive aots of the Seclnsionists, or the party op posed to foreign progress. This party, strengthened by the rabble of the city, first looted the Japanese news paper office and then made demon strations on the royal palace. Tho king made slight efforts at defense and tho Japanese in charge of the consulate were equally pusillanimous. The Japanese colony, guarded by all their available troops, escaped to the neighboring seaport of Chemulpo, but it took them fourteen hours to travel the seventeen miles between the two places, ou account of the many women and children in the company. The whole story is peculiarly Oriental in the cowardice shown on both sides and the ferocious cruelty with which men bearing flags ot truce were slaughtered. It gives one the im pression that Coroa is an excellent place for the foreigner to keep away from, at least until the people recover from their irritation over outside in tervention. What we know of the south pole is simply this: That nobody has got within 700 or 800 miles of it; that icy barriers were encountered which quite eclipse anything known in tho north frigid zone; that mountains have been seen, one shooting forth volcanic flames, loftier than any discovered by our northern explorers; that all the land there is covered with snow at all seasons; that uo human being has been met with beyond 56 degrees; that no vegetable growth, except lichens, has been seen beyond 53 degrees, and that no land quadruped is known to exist beyond 66 degrees. PILES! PILES! PILES! A SURE CURE FOUKD AT LAST! NO ONE NEED SUFFER. A sure cure for Blind, Bleeding1 Itching and Ulcerated Piles Las been discovered by Dr. "Williams (an Indi an Remedy,) called Dr. William's In dian Pile Ointment. A single box has cured the worst chronio cases of 25 or 30 years standing. No one need suffer five minutes after applying this wonderful soothing medicine. Lotions instruments and electuaries do more harm than good. "William's Indian Pile Ointment absorbs the tumors, allays the intense itching, (particular ly at night after getting warm in bed,) acts as a poultice, gives instant relief, and is prepared only for Piles, itching of the private parts, and for nothing else. Read what the Hon. J. M. Coffinber- ry of Clevelaud says about Dr. "Wil liam s Indian Pile Ointment: I have used scores of Pile Cures, and it af fords me pleasure to sav that I have never found anything which gave sucn immediate anu permanent reiiet as Dr. "William's Indian Ointment. Hon. Judge "W. P. Coons, Maysville, Ky., says: "I have suffered for years with itching piles, and have used many remedies. I havo used Dr. Wil liam's Indian Pile Ointment and been cured while every other remedy has failed." For sale by all druggists and mailed on receint of unce. S1.00.
