Latest figures re ceived by Governor Cleveland sive a Democratic majority in the state of 2.7GG. Latest semi-official returns show a Democratic majority in the state of 3,220. It is not believed, in Demo cratic circles here, that this will vary more than 200. Xir.v York, Nov. 5. The Sun has received returns from every county in the state, and has revised returns complete from 51 of tho GO counties. They give Cleveland 1,913 plurality. New York, Nov. 5. Tho Sun, in a second edition, concedes the election of Cleveland by the vote of Now York state, having received further con firmation of its previous figures, put ting Cleveland's plurality at 1,613. INDIANA. Indianapolis, Nov. 5. Beturns are corning in more rapidly this morning, but the only thing yet definitely known is that the state will be very close. . Green county gave a Eepubli can majority "of 125, a gain of 27. Posey county gives 600 majority for Cleveland. Ohio county gives a Re publican majority of 104, a gain of 13. Scott county gives a Democratic majority of 305, a Democratic gain of 3- A Republican gain of 1,000 is reported from Tanderburg county. Newton county gives a Republican majority of -590, a gam of So. If the present rate oi xvopuunuau gams vuii' tinues the state will be remarkably close and the plurality will- not bo more than 1,000 either way. It is im possible as yet to state the complexion of tho legislature. There is no change in congressmen from the figures sent out last night. MICHIGAN. Detroit, Nov. 5. Returns from Michigan in regard to the fusion vote may be somewhat confusing. The Republican vote is full on the lead ing candidates. To get the full fusion vote on president it is necessary to J add the vote given separately in tho bulletins for Cleveland and Butler. (If the vote of the state is declared for the fusion ticket, as seems prob- I able at this writing (7 P. M.)t Cleve land will receive six electoral votes, Jjuiier six, anu one goes lor jjiaine. In voting,' the greenbackers andDom-J rtnt.Wa fo,1 fnr fl, enmn mn fnr twelve electoral places, and for dif ferent men for tho thirteenth place, -which allows a chance for one Blaine elector. It -was desired to find tho relativo strength of the Greenbackers j ble majorities, but the state was gen and Democrats, and hence tho vote is?.!1- co"ceded to the Republicans, sent separately. Reports so far give very little information about the up- stronghold, but the indications oro J for rrreat Democratic rains there. I for great Democratic gains there, This afternoon returns wero re ceived indicating the election of tho fusion stato and national tickets, but later figures alter this somewhat The Democrats now claim tho state, but say the vote will be too close to tell so soon. Tho Republicans claim tho stato by a clear majority. The upper peninsular has been heard from in favor of the Republicans, but the exact vote is not yet knowD. MAINE. Blaine has 25,000 majority. OHIO. Columbus, Nov. 5. Six hundred and sixty-eight of 2,071 precincts in Ohio give a not Republican gain of 12,024 over tho vote of last month, an average of 18 per precinct This rate will give a plurality of 47,222, which will probably be reduced by returns from rural districts. WISCONSIN. Milwaukee, Nov. 5. Tho returns and estimates place tho Republican plurality in tho state at 10,000 or more. The Republicans elect seven out of nino congressmen, a gain of four. Tho majorities on congress men range from 700 upward. The legislature is Republican in both branches, insuring the election of a Republican to the United States sen ate. PENNSYLVANIA. Philadelphia, Nov. 5. A plurality of 70,000 is indicated for Blaine here. Complete returns from all the legis lative districts in the state, except Waynecounty, show that the -senate will have 31 Republicans and 19 Dem ocrats, and the house 140 Republi cans and 59 Democrats. CONNECTICUT. New Haven, Nov. 5. Cleveland carries the state by 1,200 plurality. There is no elect on of governor by tho people, Waller, Democrat, failing of a majority by about 1,200. The legislature is largely Republican, and will elect Harrison. This is detinue, and reliable, and the result will not be changed. VIRGINIA. Richmond, Nov. 5. Late returns indicate that the Democrats have carried the stato by 8,000 or 10,000 majority. LOUISIANA. New Orlean-3, Nov. 5. The offi cial vote of this city stands: Cleve land 12,2o8, Blame 6893; Cleveland's majority in the city 5365. Cleveland's majority in the state will not proba bly exceed 15,000. The Democrats elect all congressmen except in the second district FLORIDA. Jacksonville, Nov. 5. News ra. ceived since midnight simply con firms last night's news, that the Dem ocrats have elected their entire ticket. KANSAS. Topeka, Nov. o. At 8 v. ii. the Re publican slate central committee esti mate Blaine's majority at 50,000. Every Republican congressman is elected, anil the legislature is nearly unanimously Republican. COLOBADO. Dknveb, Nov. 5. Additional but complete returns show Blaine's ma jority in this county to be about 1,500; in the state, 4,500; a net Republican gain of over 1,500 over 1SS0. NEVADA. Nevada gives Blaine 1,000 majority. MISSOURI. Missouri goes Democratic. NORTH CAROLINA. Wilmington, Nov. 5. Tho state has gone so overwhelmingly Demo cratic that all interest in the returns has ceased to exist CALIFORNIA. California gives Blaine 8,000 ma jority. TENNESSEE. Democratic by a largo majority. MINESOTA. St. Paul, Nov. 5. Tho net Repub lican majority in the state, as far as hoard from, is 20,140. NEBRASKA. Omaha, Nov. 5. Tho state has gone Republican by 20,000 majority. MARYLAND. Cleveland carries the stato by 7,000 majority. NEW HAMPSHIRE. Concord, Nov. 5. Two hundred and forty-one towns tind wards give Blaine 49,106, Cleveland 34,9SS, St. John, 1425, Bntler 507; Blaine's plu rality, 14,118. NEW JERSEY. Still in doubt. Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Ver mont, are for Blaine. ILLINOIS. Chicago, Nov. 5. Returns from Illinois come in very slowly. Tho Republicans claim the state is safely Republican for tho national ticket. 127 precincts in the city of Chicago, out of 171, give Blaine 30,642, Cleve land 34,510. Nothing has been re ceived to change the complexion of , e. Mast the congressional delegation sent out night The legislature on jomt bailor, is in doubt. Chicago, Nov. 5. Returns from Illinois come in slowly, and wero of ' a nature to cause doubt as to possi- both on the state and presidential ticket The chairman of the Repub lican state central committee made a claim during the afternoon of 20,000 maJor!l.y on governor, and a majority in both branches of the legislature. Confident. New Tork, Nov. 5. Tho Tribune says "We still believe Blaine and Logan aro elected. Several states are in doubt, and likely to remain so for some davs, but the Republicans seem to have stronger probabilities in their favor. Tho Republican state commit teo claims a handsome plurality in New York, and reports from tho counties continue to justify confi dence. Our own returns also give the state to Blaine by considerable, and we don't believe it can be taken away with fraud, or that fraud can go undetected. It "will probably be several days before the exact result in the southern states can be known The returns, meanwhile, of Indiana continue to promise a slender, but satisfactory Republican plurality. The supporters of Blaine need not feel they are in the least at the meroy of such frauds as Democratic officials in New York aro planning to perpe trate, but we expect the utmost watcn fulness and stern dealing with men caught tampering with tho record of the returns. ''Tippecanoe and Tyler Too." Gen. Harrison, when he was nomi nated by the Whigs at Harrisburg in l&lO, as their candidate for president, was a tall, thin, careworn old gentle man, who had rotated from one office to another, and who was then clerk of the Hamilton county (Ohio) court. His office was in Cincinnati, but he resided on his farm at North Bend, a few miles lower down on tho Ohio river, in a two-story house, a part of which was tho original log cabin of pioneer days. This made Bailie Pay- ton, of Tennessee, who earned to the general tne news or nis nomination, say in a speech the next night at Cin cinnati, that tho Whig candidate lived in a loc cabin, with a latch- strig never pulled in. a barrel of hard cider to treat his friends and coon skins nailed over the cracks in the wall to keen the -wind away. This led to the erection of losr cabins all over tho country by the Whics, with speeches and sonirs. Some of tho "Tippecanoe and Tyler too" glees, sung by trained voices, with large audiences to join in the chorus, were wonderfully effective. Clubs wero formed, uniformed in homespun with gilt buttons bearing a log cabin, and a vast majority of. tho people became infected with Whig principles, sing ing occasienally: "Van, Van is a used up man." --- !- That Hacking Cough can be so quickly cured by Shlloh's Cure.
