Xew York, Oct 8 Tiio Hera Id has tho follewing: "It has come to the knowledge of the national Republi can committee," so writes the secre tary, "that the Democrats and inde pendents have prepared to spring on tho country, on or about Saturday next, through newspaper channels, bo as to effect tho Ohio election next Tuesday, a charge of positive bribery against Blaine, with allegations as to receipts, etc." The World this morning antici pates tho new seusation by a half column of gossip, under large type headlines, as follews: "Blaine- offers a bribe. One of his agents tries to bribe a Catholic priest. An offer of S2,000 made to a Franciscan friar in New Jersey if he would urge his con gregation to vote the Republican ticket The Catholic clergy not for sale." All the above rests on a little inci dent said to have occurred at Patter son, New Jersey, where Father 3Inl ler, of the Catholic monastery, was seen yesterday by n World reporter, to whom ho said a Washington Re publican named Dr. Fischer had of fered him $2,000 to use his influence among his parishioners for Mr. Blaine. The story appears extremely silly and improbable. It is estimated by Prof. Gannymoro that in the United States, during one season, G2,520 gallons of human blood are drawn by mosquitoes. In twenty years the grand total amounts to 1, 248.400 gallons of blood nearly as much as was spilled during the war of tho rebellion. Theso facts are alarming. Just think, will you, that in 100 years 124,840,000 gallons of as good blood as this country ever pro duced will have been spilled without a single point having been gained. It is well to talk about the Navy, but something should be done to protect the American people against the sing ing vampires of the night The Navy indeed why, the Navy never sheds blood except when some barefoot tar shambles across the deck and sticks a splinter in his hoof. Arkansaw Traveler. PILES! PILES! PILES! A SURE CURE FOUND AT LAST! NO ONE NEED SUFFER. A sure cure for Blind, Bleeding Itching and Ulcerated Pile3 has been discovered by Dr. "Williams (an Indi an Remedy,) called Dr. William's In dian Pile Ointment A single box has cured tho worst chronic cases of 25 or 30 years standing. No one need suffer live minutes after applying this wonderful soothing medicine. Lotions instruments and electuaries do more harm than good. William's Indian Pile Ointment absorbs the tumors, allays the intense itching, (particular ly at night after getting warm in bed,) acts as a poultice, gives instant relief, and is prepared only for Piles, itching of the private parts, and for nothing else. Read what tho Hon. J. M. Coffinber- ry of Cleveland says about Dr. Wil Ham's Indian Pilo Ointment: I have used scores of Pile Cures, and it af fords me pleasure to say that I have never found anything which gavo such immediato and permanent relief as Dr. William's Indian Ointment. Hon. Jttdgo W. P. Coons, Maysville, Ivy., says: "I have suffered for years with itching piles, and have "used many remedies. I have used Dr. Wil liam's Indian Pile Ointment and been cured while every other remedy has failed." For sale by all druggists and mailed on receipt of price, $1.00.
