Office in Kong "Wing Hie Store, on Che namus street, opposite Post Office, A Now Political Party. A dispatcliirom Indianapolis, Ind., aajs: "Somo of Iho features of n strong secret political organization, numbering several hundred thousand members, have been uncovered, here. ; It extends from Maine to California. It claims 25,000 members in Indiana, 50,000 in Illinois, 60,000 in Ohio and 40,000 in jyiaine. The name is the "New Era," and it if anti-monopolistic in character. It is charged that the order has been organized in Ben But ler's behalf and that its movements are concealed to further his presiden tial aspirations. The organization "was founded in Chicago less than a year ago. Some of its principles may be gathered from the following card inviting membership to the organ ergan organ izateon: "Before the one Father who watches over all, we stand as brothers, and seek to establish equity and fraternity in ail relations or lire, we love our country and support the execution of all equitable laws, yet hold that laws which defeat equity are crimes against the inalienable rights of men. The right and title of the men of toil to the fruits of their toil and to a safe home and country are from God, and sooner or later His will shall be reached and' established among men that it may be done on earth as it is in heaven. We invite all gobd men of every prope'r trade and calling, who believe in and hope for those things and are willing to fraternally co operate for their accomplishment, to come into our organization." Tke Emigrant And The Indian. A little transaction has come under our observation during the past week, which is too contemptible for any thing, and causes us to have less re spect .for "poor Lo" than we had be fore entertained. An Indian went to a white man and told him that he was very ill and requested him to get him some liquor. The gentleman being a new-comer and unaoquain ted with the laws on this point, through sympathy did as requested. The Indian drank the liquor and went away feeling bet ter. In a short time two other Indi ans went to the gentleman for liquor, but he refused to get it for them; they went away and soon Indian No. 1 returned for more liquor, nud he too was refused. This refusal raised his ire and ho proceeded to inform on the gentleman who had befriended him, and he was taken to Portland and fined before the TJ. S. court for doing what he supposed to bo an act of mercy. You see the person in forming the authorities of a violation of law gets paid for such information. If this is the kind of n game the children of tho forest proposo to play upon the innocent and unsuspecting, the authorities had best keep, them ou the reservation, where they be long.
