Tliat's a common expres
sion and has a world of
meaning. How much suf
fering is summed up in it
The singular thing about
it is, that pain in the back
is occasioned by so many
things. May be caused by
kidney disease, liver com
plaint, consumption, cold,
nervous debility, &c.
"Whatever the cause, don't
neglect it Something 'is
wrong and needs prompt
attention. No medicine has
yet been discovered that
will "so quickly and surely
cure such diseases as
Brown's Iron Bitters, and
it does this by commencing
at the foundation, and mak
ing the blood pure and rich.
Wm. P. Marshall, of Logans
port, Irrdiana,vrites: "My wife
has for many years been trou
bled from pain in her back
and general debility incident
to her sex. She. has taken one
bottle of Brown's Iron Bitters,
and I can truthfully say that
she has been so much benefited
that she pronounces it the
only remedy of many medi
cines she has tried."
Leading physicians and
clergymen use and recom
mend Brown's Iron Bit
ters. It has cured others
suffering as you are, and it
will cure you.

A Little Story with a Large Moral
One 3Ian who Knew hi
Own Business.
"No. my dear," said tho venerable keeper
of a country sloro to a timid littlo girl whoso
head scarcely camo up to tho level of tho
,counter. 2f o, my dear, wo haTcn't any red
flannel, but wo have some first ratoXcw Or
leans molasses." Softly hintins that she
didn't think that would answer the purposo
quite as well, tho child went her way in
search of tho article sho wanted.
"Havoyou BENSON'S CAPCDfE PLAS
TERS?" asked a gentleman of a certain drug
gist whoso namo could bo given wcro it do-
sired. I am troubled just now with a touch
of my old friend, tho lumbago, and tho Ben
son's Plaster seems to go to tho Spot almost as
soon as it touches tho skin."
"Not at present." replied tho druggist, gen
ially " but, wo havo lots of plasters jnst as
good. There is Allcock's, the Capsicum and
others won't one of them do as well?"
"My dear sir," retorted tho gentleman,
with a slight show of temper, "I say nothing
against those articles, but I am a business
man, and Til trays ask for precisely what
want, and for nothing else. I may enlighten
you, howover, when I say that sometuno ago,
for another disease, of which tbe Capcine has
since cured mc, I tried all those you mention,
with no apprcciablo benefit. They are incfii
cie&t, every ono of them, tho meanest act ol
tho proprietor of somo of them being this :
that they make plasters with similar sound
ing names to docuve the unwary into ficliov
ing they are tho same thing. Experience
taught me tho difference. 111 go to the next
man in your lino. Good day."
Bo on i our guard against imitations. Tho
jeaaiae has the word CAPCINE cut cleanly
in tbe middle of the plaster. All others are
impositions.
