If disease has entered the system the only sure and quick way to drive it out is to purify and enrich the blood. These simple facts are well known, and the highest medical authorities agree that nothing but iron will restore the blood to its natural condition; and also that all the iron preparations hitherto made blacken the teeth, cause head ache, and are otherwise injurious. Brown's Iron Bitters will thor oughly and quickly assimilate with the Wood, purifying and strengthen ing it, and thus drive disease from any part of the system, and it will not blacken the teeth, cause head ache or constipation, and is posi tively not injurious. Saved ins Child. 17 X. Eutaw St., Baltimore. Md. Feb. is, 1&S0. Cents: Upon the recommenda tion of a fnend I tried Brown's Iron Bitters as a tonic and re. stonttive for my daughter, whoa I was thoroughly convinced was wasting away with Consumption. Having lost three daughters by the terrible disease, under the care of eminent physicians, I was loth to believe that anything could arrest the progress of the disease, but, to xay great surprise, before my daugh ter Had taken onebotUe of IJnowirV Iron Bitters, she began to mend and now is quite restored to former health. A fifth daughter began to fhow signs of Consumption, and when the physician was consulted he quickly said "Tonics were re quired ;" and when informed that the elder sister was taking Brown's Ikon Bi lints, responded "that is a good toaic, take it." . John Heffner, a ragpicker of Reading, Pa., aged GS, was killed recently hy a locomotive. Ilej himself is the authority of the statement that he was the father of forty-two children. He was a small, wiry, hump-backed, dark skinned man, and was "horn in Germany. At twenty-five he married his first wife in Germany. She lived eight years, and in thnt time becamii the mother of seven teen children twins twice, trip lets four times, and a single . child. He employed a young woman to take charge of the brood of mvcu teen little ones, and in 1 S 111 siio became his wife. In dm tiitu shn became the mother of fifteen chil dren, and died in 1$."7. Twelve of the little ones died, leaving twenty in the brood. lie then brought them to America, and in 185S married his third wife, a widow with one child. She bore him ten children, making forty two in all, a small number of whom are now living. Ho seemed to enjoy himself, and went through life apparently happy and con tented. He was unable to save much money. Art'r York Sun. The suicidal matin mmmus to have become epidemic in London. The varied forms of destruction practiced are in themselves indi cative that no one short of a man iac could invent them. An oiliccr of engineers a few days ago made a dynamite belt, donned it. and blew himself to atonic. A dav or two afterward a prominent doctor put an end to his life b eating bread upon which he had spread a quantity of phosphorous, washing down the meal with a ulass of car bolic acid.
