Richard B. Belgrave, the advance
agent of the "Spanish Students" was
in the city yesterday. His company

last Wednesday night between Donald
Dinnio of San Francisco and D. A.
McMillan of Bodie, the man from the
mountains was declared the victor.

of flame and smoke, as there is a con

The smoke is stifling and one can see
but a few rods in any direction. If it
does not rain very soon, this whole
timber district will be swept away,
The damage done to shingle timber is
immense, but the half is not yet
known.
